La Bombilla has been certified organic by ECOCERT since 2019 to guarantee products of 100% organic origin.
This certification body controls all stages of our activity, from production in Brazil to delivery.
Specifically, what is being controlled?
1. The production conditions at the producer in Brazil (same organic farming standards as in France).
2. The origin of all ingredients.
3. The mixing and packaging methods.
4. The storage and transport conditions.
5. The accuracy of information on packaging.
Environment: Ecosystem-respecting production
Organic agriculture aims for the respect for the environment, biodiversity, and animal welfare.
In our case, this translates into agroforestry cultivation, non-intensive harvests (once every 2 years on each plot instead of once a year in conventional farming) or even hand-picking.
Health: Superior quality agriculture
Carried out without synthetic inputs (pesticide, herbicide, chemical fertilizer) or GMOs, organic agriculture allows for the production of healthier mate.
Safety: Strictly controlled products
Unlike conventional products that are very little (if at all) controlled, organic products are systematically controlled by independent organizations (like ECOCERT in our case). They are also frequently analyzed in laboratories by customs upon their arrival in French territory.
1. Certified organic products are marked with at least one organic label: AB (French Organic Agriculture label) and/or the euro leaf (EU organic label).
2. Unfortunately, some companies illegally claim to be "certified organic" without being so. It is possible to check if a company is registered among organic professionals on the directory of the BIO Agency.
